Pet peeve about media on display Tuesday night on Jen Psaki's MS Now program when she and a guest discussed whether "transgender" would be a campaign issue this fall, as if the word designated a general phenomenon like climate change and wasn't an adjective describing a group of people (and voters!) whom the party in power in DC is cynically and sadistically attacking on a weekly basis. It's a sign of the GOP's success in scapegoating us that people we might reasonably expect to be our advocates instead touch on us in this token way. I get that there are many other things to talk about on an hourly basis these days, but if you are going to spotlight us, please at least discuss us as if we were people like you.
