Latest foodie romp: ramps, a type of wild onion that grows 'round these parts. I recently learned about them from a friend of a friend, saw them in the local co-op a few weeks back and asked one of the gents there about them, then saw them again last Thursday morning and decided to grab a handful despite the price tag ($16.99/lb). Nine wasn't enough to do most of the recipes I found online, but it was plenty for a salad dressing recipe with bacon, parsley, and a few other things. I made it last night, and will be using it for the first time tonight.
